About Your Clinican

Healing is not about becoming someone new. Through trauma-informed and somatic work, we can begin to explore the younger parts of self that learned to protect, adapt, or survive. Together, we'll create a space for those parts to feel seen and supported while reconnecting with the strength, resilience, and wisdom that have always been with you.

My Philosophy

I believe the mind, body, and soul are interconnected. As humans, we’re naturally impacted by the world around us and external factors that shape our lives.

Methods

Healing begins when you feel seen. I utilize TF-CBT, Somatic tools, and Mindfulness to help you become more aware of the mind-body connection.

Clinicals

I have worked with all ages in private practice, supporting neurodivergents, LGBTQIA+, and those navigating trauma, anxiety, and relationship challenges.

My Communication Style

Although I identify as an Empath, I'm a direct therapist. I prefer to work from a holistic approach, utilizing movement over medicine when appropriate. However, your safety and ongoing appropriateness for tele-heath sessions will always be a priority.

How I Help Clients Reach Goals

Over the last 8 years, I’ve had the privilege of working as a Family Consultant, an intern supervisor, and now a clinician in private practice. My client's learn how to attune to their bodies cues of distress, emotionally regulate the sympathetic nervous system with mindfulness, somatic tools, and increase their distress tolerance skills.

My Journey to Becoming a Provider

Witnessing the devastation of my community after Hurricane Katrina instilled in me a purpose to pursue higher education to serve those in need during times of crisis. I attended school in Los Angeles and earned a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy  (TF-CBT)

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps people heal from the emotional and psychological impact of traumatic experiences.

Trauma-focused therapy is not about forcing you to relive your past. We move at a pace that respects your readiness, building safety and emotional regulation before approaching difficult experiences. The goal is not to erase what happened, but to help you feel less confined or controlled by it.

In therapy, we gently explore the connection between your experiences, thoughts, emotions, body response, and behaviors. Together, we work to identify patterns that may have developed as a way of protecting you and develop new ways of responding that feel safer and more empowering.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic Therapy recognizes that our bodies can carry the effects of stress and trauma, even when we have intellectually processed what happened. You may notice this through tension, anxiety, feeling on edge, shutting down, difficulty relaxing, or feeling disconnected from yourself or your emotions.

In our work together, we gently bring awareness to the connection between your thoughts, emotions, body, and nervous system. Through mindfulness, breath, movement, grounding, and somatic awareness, you can learn to recognize what your body is communicating and develop new ways of responding to stress.

Somatic Therapy is not about forcing your body to change or reliving painful experiences. It is about creating enough safety to reconnect with who you've always been.

Attachment-Based Therapy

The relationships we experience early in life can shape how we connect, protect ourselves, and experience closeness later in life.

Attachment-based therapy explores the patterns you may have developed in relationships-how you respond to intimacy, conflict, vulnerability, rejection, or emotional distance. Sometimes these patterns can leave you feeling like you are giving too much, shutting down, overthinking, struggling to trust, or repeatedly finding yourself in relationships that feel familiar but painful.

The goal isn't to become someone different. It is to reconnect with the secure, authentic, and resilient parts of yourself that may have hidden beneath the ways you learned to survive.
